Strut Your Stuff With Shoes From Superbalist

* This post is in collaboration with Please read my disclaimer., an online haven for South African millennials, is one my favourite online stores to turn to when I get the (extremely common) urge to go shopping. I have been singing their praises for years, especially after they saved Mother’s Day last year by delivering my order within less than 24 hours! I found their first-time buyers promo** incredibly helpful too. It’s quite a clever incentive to download the app, so scroll down for more information on that.

I browsed through Superbalist’s entire shoe category to round up five pairs of shoes that I absolutely adored. These shoes are appropriate for every season and I have chosen a pair for every occasion appropriate to my lifestyle. Although I am passionate about cruelty-free beauty, I also make a conscious effort to purchase clothing, shoes and accessories that are cruelty-free too. That means that as far as I know, these styles are free from leather, fur and other animal products.

Claudia by dailyfriday

Dailyfriday has some of the most stunning shoes on! The reason why I haven’t had a pair of these open-foot Claudia shoes before now is an actual mystery. They’re so pretty and cute and feminine, especially with the straps around the ankle- they’re a real must-have! These shoes are made of faux leather with some fun rhinestone detailing on top. In the colder months, I’d wear them with a pair of high-waisted skinny jeans and a feminine top. When it gets warmer, I’d wear them with a pretty dress or jumpsuit.

Kalaxy by New Look

It’s amazing what a little bit of embroidery can do to a pair of shoes. I think that these velvet embroidered pumps, adorned with a few shiny rhinestones, are a timeless piece. Today’s fashion and trends are clearly recycled, which is something that I love because I have always been drawn to things that are classic and old-fashioned. I can’t think of a better way to style these than with a pair of ankle grazers, a plain shirt and a dainty piece of jewellery to keep the focus on the embroidery.

Chuck Taylor All Star Lo x Miley Cyrus by Converse

Converse is my favourite brand of sneakers and when I saw their collaboration with Miley Cyrus, I died a little. It is beautiful! These canvas sneakers are white with a silver glittery sole and laces, but there is a similar pair with a light pink canvas too. I am in love! If I had to style these the way I style my white high-tops, I’d wear them with literally everything. Mom jeans, black tights, high-waisted denim shorts… How cute is the smiley face?

Floyd Boot by Cotton On

Pretty and comfortable- that’s what I look for in a pair of boots. I think that these Rubi creations tick those boxes, especially with that chunky heel and the wearable taupe. Boots like these look really nice with a little bit of leg showing, so I would style them with a pair of shorts or a skirt with a more bold top. During the colder months, they can still be worn with a pair of jeans.

Loud Platform Ankle Boots by Public Desire

These are more risque compared to previous four styles, but I was attracted to these statement platform boots. I tend to avoid high-heels, but the thickness of the heel and the platform can make for some comfortable boots and I would turn to these if I ever went on a night out. The Loud Platform Ankle Boots would look lovely with a dress or shorts over stockings, or a pair of ankle grazers.
